Join me for an early morning guided sightseeing running tour of Belfast.
This is an approx. 6.5 km / 4 mile run that takes in major sights of the city and you get to hear about Belfast's interesting past. I will take you to see the city's historic buildings like City Hall and St. Anne's Cathedral. You will get to admire Belfast's latest street art, jog through the famous Cathedral Quarter and maybe even kiss the Salmon of Knowledge.
There will be time for stories and to take photos before we sit down at the end for a drink at a local café, where you can ask me some more details about Belfast and what to do.
This tour is suitable for all abilities, from novice runners upwards. We will run at a casual pace suitable for the whole group. The actual run usually takes around 1 hour 10 minutes, but this is dependent on the group's pace and how many selfies you all want to take.
What I’ll provide
A drink in a cafe at the end of our tour. Choose from a tea, coffee or water. If you want a nibble, bring some cash.
What to bring
Water (if you feel you will need a drink on the tour)
Appropriate running clothing (depending on the weather)
Cash - if you want a bite to eat in the cafe too
The great thing about a running tour is that you get to see so much more than if on a walk. You will get to go from one end of Belfast City Centre to the other, passing by many places to visit, eat and drink. With all this knowledge, you can then plan which of these places you will go to later on your stay.
Tours start at 7:30 am. Maximum group size is 10 people.

Welcome to our beer and pizza running tour.
The 5km tour of Belfast will start and finish at the Sunflower Public House on the corner of Kent Street and Union Street, Belfast.
And after a social, cultural, sightseeing tour, we will finish off with a drink of your choice from a range of craft beers and a freshly prepared wood fired pizza by Boxing Hare Wood Fired Pizzeria.
Not only that, we will be entertained by some live music while we enjoy our food and drink.
The running tour will take in Belfast City Centre, the Cathedral Quarter and part of the Lagan Towpath. There will be lots of stops for information and photo opportunities. Remember, tours are run at a pace to suit the group.
Once back at the Sunflower Pub, you will put in your order for a pizza. And while waiting on it to be ready, you get to choose a beer from the menu of great beers on offer and listen to some relaxing tunes.
Sunflower is a simple corner pub, it is free of gimmicks or themes, and it is one of the few remaining. It is instantly recognisable by the security cage on its front door, a relic from 1980’s Belfast. While the cage is no longer needed for security reasons it has been kept and preserved as part of the city’s social history.
